Arsenal beat Liverpool 2-1 in the Europa League

Arsenal beat Celtic 2-0 in the UEFA Europa League.

Alexis Sanchez scored twice as Arsenal won 3-2 at Celtic Park.

Arsenal were beaten 2-2 by Celtic at the start of their first-ever European campaign, with Alex Iwobi scoring the only goal for the visitors.

Sanchez opened the scoring for Arsenal in the first minute with a powerful shot from outside the box that was headed off target by the goalkeeper.

Alicia Sanchez then doubled the lead moments later as she curled a shot over the bar.

Arsenal’s next goal came as the match progressed.

Santi Cazorla was on the end of a beautiful pass from Aaron Ramsey and fired a right-footed shot that found the top corner of the net.

After a quick restart, the Gunners were awarded a penalty for offside when Mathieu Flamini was fouled by Kieran Gibbs.

Alex Iwobi put the Gunns ahead again in the 41st minute as he powered a low shot into the bottom corner of Celtic’s net.

Celtic goalkeeper Kerem Bulut stopped the shot and Sanchez fired in a second in the second half.

Arsenal are in third place in the Premier League table, four points behind Chelsea.
