ANZ Capital Markets has been told it will reopen after more than four months of closure.

Key Points:A new brewery is to be built at Tewkbury near WodongaThe first batch of beer is expected to be ready by the end of the year and the cider is expected in early 2018The first beer produced by the new business will be made in Queensland and will be available for purchase from the brewery.

The new brewery will be called Wodongale Farmhouse, named after the town it is to operate from.

Its owner, the Australian Capital Territory’s first cider producer, Andrew Wilson, said the decision to reopen was a win-win for the local community.

“We’ve done a lot of work over the last four months,” he said.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to expand our business and to do it in the right way.”

The community has always been really supportive of the farm and the industry, so it was a good opportunity to do that.

“I think there’s going to be a great community reaction.”

Mr Wilson said the brewery will not be a major drawcard, but the community would be well served by its beer.

“There will be no advertising, but there will be a few things,” he explained.

“For example, if people buy one of the bottles, they will receive a little certificate for the cidery.”

That certificate will be good for the community, so they can go and enjoy their wine or cider.

“Farmhouse beer is a specialty made from barley and wheat and is sold under the name of the Wodongo Farmhouse Beer Company.”

This is the first farmhouse style beer, it’s been developed by the Womble family of New South Wales and produced in a farmhouse, which is one of our main markets,” Mr Wilson said.

The farmhouse product will be brewed in a small, one-barrel brewhouse that will be supplied by the family-owned Wodongsan Brewery.”

These barrels will then be converted to make more beer, which will be bottled in a new distillery,” Mr Watson said.”[The new distiller] will be able to make a full batch of farmhouse-style beer every day.

“Mr Watson said the farm-house product would be sold under a number of different brands including Blue, Wheat and Honey.”

If you like your farmhouse and you’re looking for a strong beer, this is the one to go for,” he continued.”

They’re both really tasty, but it’s just a matter of personal preference.

“Mr Nelson said it was hoped the new venture would attract new investors and help diversify the local industry.”

What we’ve done is we’ve given people the opportunity to try some of the best farmhouse beers in the world,” he concluded.”

Hopefully, that’s what will happen with this company.
