How to avoid being sued in Texas by Russian agribusiness: Texan agriculture commissioner

Texas Agriculture Commissioner Matt Rinaldi said he will sue the Russian company behind an Arizona agribusion technology that he said was a threat to U.S. food safety.

The company, Rinali said Wednesday, is RotaSciences, which is owned by the Russian billionaire Alexei Milchovich.

The company has been accused of stealing technology and selling it to a Chinese company.

Milch, a former billionaire who has been named by the Senate Judiciary Committee as a potential witness in a probe into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election, told the Austin American-Statesman he was in discussions with Texas regulators about the lawsuit.

Rinali did not respond to a request for comment from the Associated Press.

Milich and Rota Sciences were not immediately available for comment.

Rina, who oversees the state’s food safety agency, did not immediately respond to requests for comment Wednesday.
